Co-coordinated a successful proposal to construct an ADA-compliant restroom to an "open space preserve."Of Prescott's 500 miles of public trail, only about 3,300 feet are ADA compliant. Roughly 3,600 local residents have a travel-limiting disabilty.
City of Prescott Recreation Department
Secured funding for a first-of-kind accessible archery and fishing education curriculum for public school students.Through grant funding, 4 City of Prescott Park Rangers were certified as USA level 1 Archery Instructors, building a sustainable archery program for their public school's youth.
Nature Niños
Supported the grant process to secure critical staff capacity funding for Nature Niños, a free, bilingual community program that promotes access to outdoor learning.Free, bilingual outdoor programs promote equity by increasing access to nature. Only 25% of Latino children regularly have safe outdoor spaces, so these programs help close that gap.
